I met him outside of casa Bonita the day before his show with bonos and he was genuinely so sweet to me. We walked up and I was shaking like a scared dog, knees voice hands, I was trembling, my friend went up first to start the conversation, he was smoking with someone and käärijä was there too, he noticed that I was nervy to talk to him, immediately passing his cigarette off to käärijä to come up and make me feel less anxious, offering me and my friend photos, told me he really liked the Lymhyb pin I had on my overalls gave me multiple hugs, him offering first, we were talking it up and it was genuinely amazing, I asked if I can show him my art I've made of him and he became instantly interested, the whole interaction he gave me his whole focus, ! pulled up my art and started showing him it, he loved everything, he started scrolling though the art and was just so amazed and genuinely happy, he was telling me how he thinks I'm very talented and I have a lot of potential and how thankful he was that I took the time to draw him so often, even called his group over to look at my art of him, in the same folder I had art of käärijä, Joost, and Tommy and he was amazed over those aswell…

A memorable Halloween trip to Japan with Oliver Tree

The last vacation we had together & possibly my most fun trip to Japan yet. Oliver & I have been to Japan in the past but only work or a quick pass through. I've been living on the other side of the world in Jakarta & we met up in Japan for halloween. Any time we had shows close or in Asia I would fly to Japan alone & have such a good time I kept coming back. Always would invite him & he would reply with "why would you keep going to the same place every time when there are so many other countries to discover?!?!". After this last trip, after so many years, I finally got to show him why Japan was my favorite country in the way I've been wanting to. I got to introduce him to all my friends there, all my friends visiting from other places, & for a rare change for weeks none of us did any work. Just had the time of our lives. We were staying in Santa Cruz for a little & this day were filming a skit of Oliver being a paranoid ufo conspiracy theorist that lived in an RV covered in ufo photo print outs. Unfortunately that day I found out my ex may have been cheating on me….but still filmed for hours..so engrained in my mind such a traumatic moment instead became imagining Oliver dressed in this tinfoil costume

At Oliver’s Santa Cruz show on October 1, 2022, I had flown in from Hawai’i to attend.

At Oliver’s Santa Cruz show on October 1, 2022, I had flown in from Hawai’i to attend. Early in the set, Oliver asked for lights because he was looking for the person who had come from Hawai’i. I was near the front row and went crazy, he pointed me out and called me a legend for coming. Later in the show, he performed a trick on a razor scooter. He then told the audience that the scooter had Hawaiian print, and that because I “wasted a lot of money” I deserved the scooter. He made a bit out of handing it to me from the stage. After the show, my sister and I actually snuck backstage as I was hoping I could get Oliver to sign my Alien Boy comic. A team member actually led us to the green room, where Oliver jumped up and hugged me immediately, again calling me a Legend. He signed the comic with a lovely message (see attached photo) and then also signed the Razor scooter he had gifted me during the show. I’ll always be a fan and always keep Oliver in my heart. RIP and fly high, you’ll never be forgotten.

A brief stay in Jakarta during a life transition

Oliver got to live a couple weeks with me in Jakarta & see how my new life was. I burnt out from working in the music industry & wanted to transition out to create my own brand. I am grateful he got to be a part of my new chapter I was starting. Even if it was only the beginning :(

I was on a side quest in Bulgaria & Oliver was on a side quest in Croatia and we didnt know at first. Once we found out we were both in the same region of the world, we went to meet up in Bosnia for both of our first times to explore. We were walking around the city when we hear a voice, "Oliver Tree?!". Turns out an Oliver Tree fan happened to own the most popular tour guide company in the country....so this photo here was the abandoned ski jump from the late 80s Olympics in Bosnia that the guide took us to.

I was on the Honda Civic Tour, being filmed as part of a future reality show about the relationship of music and social media. I had built the world's largest AirPods & Diplo's tour manager had set up for him to come out on stage with them. He stopped responding last minute and I panicked until I noticed Oliver was in Austin, Texas as well. It was Austin City Limits festival weekend. Somehow I missed that he would be in Texas the same day as I was... Anyways, of course I brought the AirPods to Oliver instead. and this day was when the first massive videos for the track 'Miss You' was filmed. The girl all the way right was one of the band members on the Honda Civic Tour & I needed a 3rd person for this video so asked her to be in it. Cameras from the show recorded all of this! I have yet to see the footage :(

A whirlwind 24-hour adventure in Cuba with Oliver Tree

I flew in to cuba to explore with Oliver for 24 hours. This image is a great example of how adventurous our friendship was. This was probably the only time he didnt have his phone out taking photos of the architecture there; his goal was to make the most epic architecture coffee table book ever! And I believe he achieved it, just never got to publishing stage.

In 2023 I wanted to see Oliver live but unfortunately he didn’t tour in Austria. I’ve considered traveling to Germany to go see one of his shows but ultimately was a little nervous about going by myself and didn’t get any tickets. At some point I complained about it to my dad but accepted that I will have to wait until he comes to Austria. Weeks passed and my dad suddenly called and asked, if I spontaneously want to go see Oliver in Munich in two days. He would accompany me and gift me the ticket for my upcoming birthday. Let me tell you, I‘m NOT a spontaneous person, but I immediately said yes. On the train ride to Munich I showed my dad music videos of Oliver and a couple of clips he would understand despite his limited English skills and they made him laugh. To my surprise he even enjoyed a lot of the songs I showed him. By the time we arrived, I turned him into a fan and he was as excited for the show as me. The concert itself has been one of the most memorable I’ve ever been to. I laughed, danced, sang along, was impressed by the crowd work and the amazing positive vibes in the concert hall. And I caught my dad bobbing his head along, which made me very happy. Alien Boy…

We got as many friends together as we could and spent the entire day filming at the skatepark what would become our first big viral skit. I filmed most of the video backwards on rollerblades the entire day with an overkill Sony fs700 camera. Filming personal content in Santa Cruz with family and friends

After a successful world tour, Oliver & I spent some time in Santa Cruz with his parents. We also filmed dozens of content for an upcoming rollout; his dad helping us by allowing us to film at his job site, film in his mechanic's garage, use his old hobby car (that shouldnt have been used probably haha, still being worked on), and Oliver's childhood friends helped us film as well. Oliver's brother came home to visit this trip too!

I saw him perform for a small group of people in Antarctica. After the show we brushed past each other on the way to the polar bar. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, "You got some wobbly deer ankles", then he clapped both his cheeks, and a unicorn elephant seal flew up, scooped him up, and disappeared into the cold night air. I met him at a gas station outside of Nashville, Tennessee. He was wearing the red tracksuit and sunglasses at 7am. I just said 'Are you Oliver Tree?' and he said 'Yeah man.' That was it. We both got our coffees and left. I've told that story a hundred times and nobody ever believes me.

A month-long collaboration in London during Halloween

I sent this selfie to my mom after I landed and met with Oliver in London. I remember it was the day of halloween because I flew out of New York & everybody was wearing costumes outside. We came for what felt like a lifetime...but ended up being 4/5 weeks. Oliver was staying at Nobu hotel. I was at the egg shaped one across the street. It felt like Groundhog Day! Every day walk over, work on video until 3am, walk back, repeat. It was an intensive pre-production & production; everyone knows Oliver gets the largest budgets haha. We had a process where we shot the entire video frame for frame, shot for shot, but with an iPhone so on production was easier for everyone to have the same vision. One day should definitely release those haha they are hilarious. JJ (ksi) was an amazing host & made us feel welcome. We really had a fun time hanging out & working with JJ & his team, great people.
